This is a story taking place in current day on Teres. Our protagonist is Tablespoon, a teenage girl living in a village a few hours out from one of the shrine-cities. She has a small job harvesting apples for her neighbour, but one day she runs into something quite frightening out there! After telling the village elders, she's escorted to the shrine-city by her mother's childhood friend...
