a researcher who works at a world famous library-museum, trying to piece together the mysteries of histories all over the world. polite, but won't hesitate to hurl insults at anyone who interrupts their work. has the ability to know how old a living being or an object is just by touching it. azuki also has a bit of a caffeine addiction, and is struggling to cut the habit. their coworkers often make tea for instead, or make them drink water, sometimes by force. all that being said though, if you give them space and time, they are one of the friendliest and sweetest people you'll ever meet.

azuki and their siblings were made by an alchemist centuries ago, a strange person who was born with characteristics unlike any beastkin before them. they wanted a family, one with similar features, one where they wouldn't be exiled for their strangeness, and so they set out to make one. literally, making them with their own two hands out of alchemical reagents and... parts... that they had gathered. eventually, this cold parental figure passed on, but the siblings never did. they lived onwards, into the distant future...
