larch

larch is just an average guy that you would meet anywhere. he has a lot of problems, especially with his mental health, but he is doing his best to find ways to move forward despite it all. he describes himself as been scared all the time, like a "neurotic prey animal," and a bit cowardly too. his friends say that he's very brave though, since he still does things that scare him quite often. he has trouble taking it to heart, but even from an objective standpoint, wouldn't you say it's true? to be so immensely terrified, even if you know its irrational, and to do things anyways... even the most callous of onlookers would say there is merit to that.

larch is currently living on his own with a couple of pets, working when he can as an assistant at a flower shop. he can't work often, being too scared to leave his house most days, but he generally has fun at work when he goes. sometimes when he is feeling brave on a day off, he packs a few snacks and sits at the park. a very average guy, really.

personality

• skittish - its anxiety overwhelms it easily, so it tends to retreat in on itself if anything around them seems even slightly, remotely, minutely worriying
• open minded - that being said, it's quick to take in other peoples' perspectives and ideas, giving them fair consideration even if an agreement isn't reached in the end
• ditzy - it can be quite the space cadet, bumping into things and losing balance quite easily
• loyal - once you befriend it, it'll stick by you pretty much forever
• passive - it can be a fair bit of a pushover though, since it has trouble asserting itself unless pushed too far

design notes

• his hair is fluffy and unevenly cut, since he just does it himself in whenever he feels it needs a trim; it can be parted on either side
• his hair is offwhite but his eyebrows are thick and dark
• he's a bit stocky and has a flat chest; he tends to wear clothes that make him look relatively shapeless
• he always has some kind of soft toy or trinket on him, stuff to fidget with and help soothe himself if needed
• he has a little sprout on top of his head... whether it's really growing there or not is up to you

• he has a veritable slew of mental health things, but most prevalent are agoraphobia and schizophrenia
• he is deeply superstitious to an almost worrying degree, so the trinkets he carries around are from his good luck charm collection

• he mends his own clothes if the need arises
• he is basically a self insert into my own oc universe . lol
