situated about a quarter of the way up the world tree, made of the debris from the dragon's impact, the isles were known for being a site of pilgrimage. hundreds of years ago, many people moved there to try and become influential in teresi politics and religion, but that mindset died out very quickly in favour of peace and celebration, in the honour of those who made the long and arduous journey to get there.

- population is very mixed, though there is a large population of elementals.
- because of the hard travels to get here (airship only, and quite a long trip at that), there are several airship ports that do routine trips to and from the isles through the year. it's a little bit like cruise ships, like the ones on earth, where they make a show of the journey as well as the destination.
